A Smarter Better way to BUY Insurance

A Whole New Way to Buy Insurance

Yapacopia is redefining how people find and purchase insurance. When you choose a policy through one of our independent providers, they donate 30% of their commission to a charity of your choice—in your name. It’s our way of saying thank you, while making a meaningful impact at no additional cost to you.

This approach doesn’t just feel good—it works. You still receive customized coverage and personalized service from experienced independent agents, with the added benefit of supporting causes that matter. (For California residents, these donations may even qualify for a tax deduction.)

Our Story

Founded

Yapacopia, a Public Benefit Corporation founded in 2014 by Chris McCloy, is built on a simple idea: insurance should protect people—and strengthen the communities they live in.
.
Chris McCloy brings decades of experience in finance, insurance, and business development. Over the course of his career, he saw firsthand how complex and fragmented insurance can be for individuals, families, and small businesses. He also recognized an opportunity to do more—by connecting everyday financial decisions to meaningful community impact. .
.
His early work creating an insurance agency with a giveback model proved that people want their coverage to do more than just protect assets. But it also revealed a challenge: one agency alone couldn’t meet growing demand. .
.
Yapacopia was created to expand that vision. By bringing together a network of trusted agencies and brokers on one platform, Yapacopia makes it easier for clients to find the right coverage while increasing access, efficiency, and service capacity. At the same time, the model helps direct support to nonprofit organizations and local communities.

2014

Today, Yapacopia serves individuals, businesses, and public sector partners with a focus on clarity, trust, and community impact—helping people make informed insurance decisions that benefit both themselves and the places they call home.

“Insurance shouldn’t just protect what you have—it should help build what your community needs.

When people make smarter financial choices, they create impact far beyond themselves.”
